Basketball only? Sorry, the big money sports are *all* D1 cesspools for the most part.

When I see stuff like this, it makes me seriously wonder if we shouldn't just pack up our things and get out of D1 for the right reasons.

It's not just the investigations; it is the tone-deafness of the fans at these sports factory schools. It is all underpinned and perpetuated by a win-at-all-costs mentality.

I want Rice to win, but if there comes a point where I truly believe that we have to cheat hard to do it, I will be all for dropping to D3. I so wish we had a like-minded peer group around so that we could stay D1 and move to the FCS in football (a la the Ivy League), but that is not happening.
