I want them going to class instead of sleeping in ten to get a game ticket. We should be able to provide tickets to the students who want one even if means providing more space than just the end court.

I think if the atmosphere is fun/exciting, more people will come. A fun atmosphere requires an exciting style of play (whether this means high scoring, defensive intensity, or both) and winning. The crowd looked very good for the LaTech game and I bet most of the Rice fans thought it was a great atmosphere and very entertaining. If that had not been the last home game, I'd like to believe a lot of those fans would have thought of coming to another game, based on their experience at the last game. Rice needs to find a way to create that atmosphere more frequently early in the season (and I acknowledge that interesting opponents helps) and then maintain it through the rest of the season based on performance.
