I think the answer, unfortunately, is "yes", Bailiff will be rehashed at any time and in any thread until he is ten years gone.

And, again, if you look back you'll realize that it was one of the DB defenders who brought Bailiff into this basketball thread. 03-banghead This has almost always been the case when DB's name is interjected into a non-football related thread.

I looked back. I mentioned Bailiff first (at least in recent posts), referencing the fact that it wouldn't be too impressive if the men's basketball team won 18+ games without beating any decent teams. I derisively referred to such an unimpressive way of accumulating wins as "the Bailiff way". I've wanted Bailiff replaced for ~6.5 years now, so I'm hardly a DB defender.

Next mention was WRCisforgotten79. He's clearly more of a basketball skeptic than other Parliamentarians (or at least more restrained with his optimism). I know he was not a DB defender for a long stretch, though he seems to have softened his position the last few years. I think calling him a "DB defender" would be a stretch, but he can certainly correct me if I am wrong.

I guess "my bad" for bringing him up. I didn't mean to devolve the thread. The basketball team is playing very well overall. Definite progress has been made. I just really hope they get multiple wins against the top tier of CUSA opponents (MTSU/ODU/LaTech/Marshall/UAB) to cement the team's place toward the top of the conference. Right now, the team's best wins (KenPom) are against #188 Nebraska-Omaha, #203 Charlotte, #232 HBU, and #233 James Madison. Losses have been to #27 Texas Tech, #56 Pitt, #113 ODU, and #189 Texas Southern.
