I look at it as we hired Rhoades twice.


Rhoades wildly exceeded expectations in year 1. It was good enough to make him a candidate at VCU despite going 12-20. Safe to say he would be the only 12-20 coach on VCU's list AND that VCU is by far the best job that he could possibly get after going 12-20 at Rice.

But he didn't leave. And having stayed, I don't think he can get a job better than the one he has already turned down without getting Rice to the NCAA (but I could be wrong about that).
