I liked the final episode. I've never understood all these whiners who complained about this season. They act as though having six hundred story lines running at one time would work as everything came together for the final battles. The entire series was about a multitude of layers, characters, and landscapes all coming together in the end for a final battle. As the field of characters and locations narrowed we were reduced to two sides fighting it out in the end. It was natural that the storylines would narrow accordingly. From my perspective, everything came together well.

Jon riding off north of the wall with the true northerners and a slight grin on his face left me with the feeling that he was not going back to the wall. He was free.
