RE: OT: Game of Thrones Discussion - Potential Spoilers Warning
Honestly I thought this episode was fantastic. I have a lot of the same grievances that most have, but overall the episode was brilliant. I would go so far as to call it a masterpiece. I got chills when the Dothraki army's fire swords started going out one by one. The dragon battle above the clouds what some of the best CGI I've seen.

However, I'm confused about what this means for the final episodes. I thought the Night King was the be all end all source of evil for the series. I get that Cersei is technically a bigger villain for the whole show, but everyone in Winterfell was definitely more scared of the Night King than her so much so that they were going to form an alliance with Cersei to fight him.

All this Winter is coming...Winter is coming...Winter is here for seasons and seasons and it's all over in one episode? Now what? Cersei seems like a way easier match than a never ending army of zombies. A lot of the important people survived. Much more than I thought. You're telling me that Sam of all people survived but some of the badass characters like Ser Jorah didn't make it? They don't really even have that much of an army left to fight Cersei with, so I'm not sure how they are going to match the rest of the action to the intensity of this episode.

Idk, just seemed like they put the finale in the middle of the season and they're going to spend the rest of the show wrapping up character arcs. I don't mind the way the Night King died, I just thought that was going to be the final climax of the series, and not just a plot point in the middle of the season. Compared to him and his power to control the weather, never ending army of zombies, and a freaking blue dragon, what the hell does Cersei have besides an army for pay with no elephants?
