In fact, most of us are thrilled that you will finally have Sun Belt Level facilities. We're just curious about the project itself and costs etc and construction dates etc.

Forgive us for being a little skeptical of a September 2017 timeline when Turner Field has a ton of conversion that must be done, and you likely won't even have access to the facility until January of 2017. That's all this is about.
I mean do you skim read? Who at any point said that we would renovate the Ted by September 2017??? Shame on you Chief because you have been historically one of the stronger posters on this board. The 2017 date is to play in the Ted as is. Could we still play a season in MBS? Yes. But it seems at least right now that the backup plan of playing at the Ted in 2017 is becoming more and more the plan. A phone call can change that.

But to play in 2017 "as is" would mean that one endzone is going to be in the stands, as Klak posted in the diagram a few pages back. Also, the Ted "as is" will not accommodate FBS level football rosters. So, at the bare minimum, those issues will need to be addressed before you play a game in 2017. Maybe the locker room retrofitting is first on the agenda so it is playable? We don't know. As even the GaState fans have said, "all we have is renderings and not real plans".

Now, you could do the thing that was done in Wrigley Field (I think) a few years back where both teams go toward the same endzone. (yep here that is http://www.nytimes.com/2010/11/20/sports....html?_r=0 ). That's an option, and may help with the odd seating.
Third base line is 400 feet. So I am not sure it's as big a deal as everyone is making it to be. I am sure they are looking at all of that and I am sure if it was not feasible someone would have told Becker and Co.
