And the prequels look better after Episode VIII. I re watched them recently and it's the new trilogy that has made me appreciate the prequels more.

I agree with this totally. I think the new movies frame the prequels in a way which makes them make a whole hell of a lot more sense. The prequels are much more about the problems with a society than individual characters IMO, and I think the new trilogy addresses that.
