I haven't seen Solo yet.

Pretty sure you'd like most of Solo. I agree Rogue One is a great movie, and a cut above the tow other Disney Star Wars movies.

Here's another interesting article that fills out a bit more of where some of the ideas in the Han Solo origin story came from: The 'Legendary' roots of Solo: A Star Wars Story. The only non main saga SW book I've read was one they mentioned set on Mimban, that swampy, muddy Dagobah-like planet: Splinter of the Mind's Eye, by Alan Dean Foster.
