That is true as well as a different source of funding that is available.

That other source of funding can be used for a lot of things if the administration wants to spend it.

I was told Yates was a “temporary dorm” as I huffed my stuff up the stairs to 3rd North in August 1980.

They just tore it down this summer…43 years later.

While it may frustrate me, I’ll never be surprised at how long it takes W&M to actually DO something, even after talking about it for decades.

Wait, Yates was torn down?!

Booo!

I will always contend there was something special about that place compared to other freshmen dorms (I was there in 1997).
