They may not be playing football, but in that article sounds like they may not be fielding a school next year either.

I would imagine that football contributed to the dire straits of the school. That school has been struggling for many years, but like many, it doggedly clung to its football team to what seems like the bitter end.

They were spending $292,686 on football. The school's financial problems were in the several millions. Football was a tiny drop in the bucket.
