RE: MBB: Northern Illinois at Toledo game thread
I'll say it again: the decision to put the ball into Juice's hands and go for the win with a 3 at the buzzer was a bad decision in this particular case.

A) We were at home and only down by 2.
B) We were in the double bonus.
C) Everyone in the gym "knew" Juice would have the ball--obviously including NIU.
D) If Juice gets used as a decoy, the ball could have gone into Boothe inside, and he would have likely been fouled--and is a very good FT shooter.
E) If not, we lost anyway. But if Boothe gets the bucket, or gets fouled and makes both, we now go to OT against a Northern squad that had 4--not 1, not 2, but 4--players with 4 fouls...AND we play the OT in the double bonus...AND we only had 5 fouls ourselves. I would have liked our chances playing against more of Northern's bench.

When you're on the road, sure--play for the win. When we're down by 3, sure--put the ball in Juice's hands. This one--even with the poor play most of the game-- may have been lost by a bad play call after the timeout with 7 seconds left.
