He'll match up better defensively at the 4 than Sherwood or Flemmings, that's for sure. He started out in HS as mostly a post player, then he stretched his game and is now deadly from 3 and has a complete mid range game. So, he's used to rebounding and pounding in the paint. He has a pretty big frame, and was at 6'9", 240lbs. in the big man workout video. He has slimmed down to 225lbs.

IMO, he is the prototype of a 4 in the Keatts system.

If he can produce at the 4, it allows Flemmings to spend most of his time at his natural 3 spot. Plus, as a true big man, he should be able to box out with more power than Flemmings, which should help our overall rebounding.

I've noticed Keatts likes to pair up certain players in the 4/5 spot. Although Bryan is only 6'7" , 225lbs, he is tough in the post. I could imagine Keatts pairing Bryan/Elmore so we have a 6'7" and 6'9" player in the paint, much like Sherwood and Bryan did against Towson. Except Elmore is naturally bigger and is a more versatile scorer than Sherwood. He could then slide Flemmings to the 4 when Gettys is in.

If Elmore can come right in and contribute, it give Keatts a lot of options in the 3/4/5 spots.
