Just like in a real job, if you keep asking people to come work for you and people consistently say no, the perception becomes you have a lousy place to work. Better to keep all these offers quiet until there is some indication of interest. Let's face it, Antwan Walker aint gonna be a monarch, so why embarrass yourself?

Im not sure what is embarrassing? On average there are a couple spots open and you offer over 20-25 kids. Having a kid that is offered a scholly goes elsewhere isn't embarrassing, it happens everywhere.

Also remember kids get offers from bigger schools, but those schools view them as fallback options and won't take the kids on unless other players go elsewhere or kids transfer away.

Because I'm familiar with Walker, this is late in the process and the bigger schools just now got involved. I don't know case with NC State, but Georgetown doesn't even have a spot for him unless other kids leave. (or he goes to prep school) Out of the other schools on that list, where would he go that would be a step up from ODU?
