I remember reading on here that the stith's don't get free tuition, but its discounted. If that is indeed true, I would assume that since he played a few years in the NBA he doesn't have too much trouble funding the difference.

Interesting...if this is the case and they are both W/O's why wouldn't we shoot for two grad transfers? Shonn Miller at UCONN is arguably their best player.

This is actually an interesting discussion to have. With 8 new players for next year already, is it in our best interest to use those scholarships? My take is that anybody that you bring in needs to be able to start or at least contribute very heavily from day one, and should be clearly better than the player that they will move ahead of in the depth chart.

Well, yes but if you use them on two grad transfers you will get them back after one year. I see your point. A lot of new faces and only the coaches would know if any grad transfers would make a serious impact next season.

I think as someone else mentioned a few days ago - a grad transfer PG would be ideal if we can find one. Not sure its the best strategy to hand the keys over to Caver or one of the freshman. although that might be how it plays out.
