Recruiting rankings are a joke. ASU had a kid we were recruiting that looked good to sign with us as a 3 star commit. Next day, Arkansas offered and he magically became a 4 star.

Another kid was originally rated as a 3 star, but when he committed to ASU he was downgraded to a 2 star.

Recruiting services have no idea how to evaluate and simply rank prospects based off their offer list, going off the assumption that if a P5 school offers a kid, they must be good.
