IMHO the smoothest, most gorgeous female vocalist ever--I'm talking vocally, not physically, here--
her voice was like glass in smoothness and effortlessness.

Artist: Carpenters
Album: Ticket To Ride (Originally titled: 'Offering')
Song: "Someday"
1969 A&M Records

Their debut album was an ambitious, awesome display of talent and songwriting, featuring both Richard and Karen's stellar vocalization talents and harmonies.

Oh, yeah, Karen played drums, too. She was able to sing like that and play skins at the same time...here's a jazzy, experimental number where Karen displays both talents, while her brother, Richard, plays electric piano:

Artist: Carpenters
Album: Ticket To Ride (Originally titled: 'Offering')
Song: "All I Can Do"
1969 A&M Records
