The ACC should get it right. FSU shouldn't have to suffer revenue loss in order to get GT on their schedule every season. It isn't matter of picking a low FBS team over GT. You are losing an extra home game if you lose that lower level opponent. The fact that some of you gloss over that fact really makes me question your mental capacity.

Also everyone has softies on their schedule to ensure this extra revenue and to have a break. So why should FSU have to drop that to do the ACC's job?

FSU already has Florida/Oklahoma St/ND out of conference next season. You are telling me that they should have to lose a home game and have no softies to get GT every year? Doesn't make sense at all.

If you were concerned about the schedule being too hard and you want GT, then you shouldn't have scheduled all of those hard teams. That isn't rocket science.

And no. FSU isn't losing a game. You would be gaining a game every 6 years. 8 ACC games plus Miami as a rival + GT gets you 9 "conference" games 5/6 years and GT and Miami every year, and 8 conference game 1/6 years with Miami and GT still on the schedule every year. That extra game that happens once every 6 years by playing 8 ACC games instead of 9 can be played against any team that FSU wishes and anywhere that FSU wishes, including FCS teams in Tally.

The fact that FSU doesn't do that means that FSU would rather not play GT every year. FSU would rather play OOC games against UF, ND, and OSU instead. That isn't our fault. It's your AD's fault. Take it up with him, not us.

FSU would still lose an OOC home game against a lower level opponent in some years. That isn't acceptable. No team should have to have no soft opponents on the schedule. GT is in the ACC with FSU. FSU shouldn't have to bend over backwards to get them on the schedule every year. They shouldn't have to play random other Coastal teams in a 9 game ACC schedule to get GT a year or 2 more in a 12 year period. And they shouldn't have to give up an OOC home game against a softie in any year to get a team in their conference on their schedule.

Plus do you really think the ACC would be happy if GT/FSU met in a non conference game? Doubt that would go over well.

Why should FSU give up schedule flexibility in terms of attractive OOC matchups as well because the ACC can't do their job? I keep hearing that the conference is trying to enhance revenue in all different ways. Well one way to do that is having more attractive football matchups. GT/FSU is one of those.
