You know we averaged about 30k our first 2 opening games. That was more than ODU. We also averaged right at 15k for our first 2 seasons. We had a winning record in year one but won only 3 games last year, albeit with our 3rd string QB at the helm for much of it.
Is that the ODU model, not having a losing record? Charlotte is not going to have a losing record? Your going to sell out the 15k stadium? What about when you expand to 30k? Gonna sell that out too every game? How about 45K?
On point, come back in 5 years and we shall see how you have faired.

And no excuses either, like injuries, illnesses, tranfers, off field BS, or anything else that can derail a season.

The ODU model has been successful and the Ga State model is still TBD.

Yes we plan to sell out our 15K stadium and add 3K-5K temporary seating for the general public. We require anyone that wants a guaranteed seat to pony up $1,000. About 4,500 out of the 5,000 FSL are gone and we haven't played a down. 70% of the people who bought FSL have never donated to athletics before now, so we have increased our donor base and fan support.

We decided build our stadium on campus. We decided not to play in a 75% empty NFL stadium or renovate Memorial Stadium.

We did not sign up for money games just to get paycheck.


That's great you averaged 30K on your season openers but the numbers came back to earth the next games with 12,600 & 11,700.

I hope Ga State is successful because it would just add to football in the South. I just believe the route ODU chose was a prudent risk and I'm glad Charlotte followed it.
