Actually this is a huge blow to the alliance because Temple was a team they absolutely needed to get a decent TV deal and filter out the cost of travel.

Now it's a loss if they add any more teams because if you add FIU that means over 800 more miles for ECU and FIU has about 700-800 mile trips and more for every one of the games they play now.

Th alliance is probably not financially feasible for FIU right now if you go through the numbers. If they add FAU and FIU then it means market overload and another mouth to feed so it defeats the purpose of adding either one of them.

I expect them to either stay at 16 teams or get San Jose St and UNT. Without Temple any expansion on the East side just makes no sense because the TV revenue won't cover the travel cost.
