I disagree with that point of view (I think ignoring a King in a major revenue sport for a football program that isn't even a Knight is a bad business move), but even if I were to accept that line of thinking I believe anyone would be hard-pressed to demonstrate that Rutgers is the better football program overall. I see them as basically equal.

Again, how many BE championships has Rutgers won? How many BCS Bowl games have they been to? If Rutgers couldn't capitalize on their 2006 season the way VT did their 1999 season, I just don't see it happening. Especially since the coach that got them there is no longer there.
