That is certainly the business model today, but I can see that changing back a bit down the road. The skyrocketing fuel prices and low attendance because of so many distant games have an adverse effect on overall budgets. Can the networks continue to throw out multi million dollar contracts in a sick economic situation? Roger Godell was recently on 60 Minutes and he was lamenting that so many fans stay home and do not actually attend games. There is still a TON of money to be made at a well attended home football game where the visitors bring a good number of fans. Is the future Tuesday and Wednesday games with 2K there or the BE Friday night games with aluminum bleachers on display? I hope not.
