It's not a fact, and your perceptions are dated. The college football world has changed, and C-USA has dropped a few rungs.

The past is not the present. The good CUSA teams are gone. Here's a question for you: Why hasn't your own team been picked by the Big East? Or all the other leftovers? C-USA's strength is gone while the MAC remains whole. The MAC just had to stay where it was while the Big East devoured the best of C-USA and left a dead husk in its place. CUSA fell below the MAC.
