Rutgers dismisses junior defensive lineman Nate Robinson
4/16/2005, 2:03 p.m. ET
The Associated Press

PISCATAWAY, N.J. (AP) — Rutgers defensive lineman Nate Robinson has been dismissed for violation of team policy, head coach Greg Schiano announced Saturday.

The single-sentence statement did not elaborate on the junior's dismissal. John Wooding, a team spokesman, said there would be no further comment.

During Rutgers' 2004 season, Robinson played in eight games, turning in 15 tackles, five of them solo.

The 6-foot-5, 303-pound Robinson, who came to Rutgers from Irvington High School, was credited with half a sack and had three tackles for losses.

Basically Greg is a by the book guy, if you break the rules you're gone, end of story. And I like that it lets everyone know no one is bigger than the program he's trying to build.
