I want to say the capital campaign had estimated $35M for the arena, and the Pope Convocation Center over at Campbell cost $34M back in 2008, but Lipscomb built Allen Arena for $16.5M in 2001. So I guess that's a resounding "maybe."

I hate to side with Bartow on much of anything, but he's bang-on on this one. We desperately need a new arena. Playing basketball in a dinosaur of a football facility might work for Syracuse, but we're hardly Syracuse. It's eventually going to have a negative effect on his recruiting and it will keep us from getting into a good AA conference.
