So you're saying BYU is what's going to make the b-e "leaps and bounds ahead of the CUSA/MWC alliance"? Gotta be what you mean since all other teams mentioned are ALREADY IN either the MWC or CUSA?
I understand the basketball side of things, but neither BYU nor Boise stand to get that benefit so it's not part of their considerations. Plus, that benefit simply goes away for the defectors if ul and cinci wind up in the big 12 and uconn goes to the acc ----
Man you mustard buzzards have the reading comprehension of a tree stump. No one is saying the addition of BYU to those other teams is what makes big east leaps and bounds better than an Alliance. What makes it better is the SUBTRACTION of many, many worthless teams (bad football program, no fanbase, and/or no potential) including but not limited to: UAB, Tulane, Rice, Wyoming, Marshall (sorry dudes, you've stunk for the last 5 years), CSU, New Mexico, and UNLV. Yes, USM, ECU, and Tulsa are good teams who every 4-5 years can take a shot at the top 25, but there is way too much dead weight in the proposed alliance for there to be any merit in it. That is why everyone, USM and ECU included, are begging to get out of the alliance and into the big east, or whoever would take them (ACC, SEC, Big 12, whatever).
