If you think Elton's article was bad read the one in the Beacon. They even ripped us for marketing football too much and ignoring basketball. I thought the crowd was a little light yesterday but anybody expecting 5000+ was dreaming. All of our other ESPN crowds were in Jan uary through March when the crowds are naturally large. Robert Morris in November on a Saturday night would draw 2500 tops. Expecting more than that at 8AM was unrealistic. I don't think marketing would have helped much. People do have to work and a vacation day is not an option for most.
