Some interesting stuff in that article. First, NIU wants him as a quarterback specifically, yet Osei also says he'll "have a chance to come in this summer and complete for playing time." I would have thought he'll come in, redshirt, and have a chance to start for 3 years starting in 2012. Do they think he can beat Chandler out? Or do they want to use him in other ways, such as in the wildcat? Do they want him prepared in case Chandler gets hurt again? What about A.J. Hill? Maybe I'm just reading too much into that. The other interesting thing in there is that he had a Central Michigan offer, which I did not know. Always good to keep good players away from them.

Hey competition at a specific position is a good thing. I would think he would reshirt too, but if his talent level is high enough the coaching staff would find a way to get him on the field as soon as they can. And don't forget Jordan Lynch whom I feel may be destined for a move back to the safety position.
