Not the kind of player you want as a teammate. BTW, it was an attitude expressed by more suburban kids than city kids and more QB/RB than lineman.

I am also guessing that the attitude described came primarily from the suburban public school athletes and not so much the suburban Catholic and Private school programs given the success NIU has had recruiting in the suburban Parochial programs. When you think of the team captains and top talent not only in NIU's program but NU & U of I over the past 20 years; how much of it really has come from the suburban public high school programs. While I don't have the stats right now, I'm betting it's an underwhelming number.
