I don't disagree that Sabock is a good recruiter etc. However, I think WMU is close enough that they had credibility with the coaches. I also think that our building relationships with coaches has its limits. . I suspect that many coaches want to put their athletes at the highest level as it garners
more prestige for him and the school by having an athlete attend a B10 school, even if the kid ends up not playing or would be better off at a MAC level school.
I am not a recruiting expert, but, having watched it for long enough, I am fairly confident that a kid who gets one or several MAC level offers will take the first big ten offer that comes along no matter how late in the recruiting game 95% of the time. There are obvious exceptions to this, Larry, Big Ben, Adamski etc.

As to the RB in question WMU was his first and only offer and took a weekend to accept it. He may have been "rising" but that's not a guarantee of other offers. We can't offer everyone and as none of us on here are real live experts we have to accept that the coaching staff knows what they're doing, until proven otherwise. Even Sabock didn't offer Le Fevre and he was just down the highway.
