I ran across an article about Mascoutah hiring a new football coach. Where is Mascoutah? Down south by Belleville. East of St. Louis.

His name is Scott Battas and played college ball at NIU:

Before a game of his senior season has been played, Milton already has scholarship offers from Tennessee, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas State, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Arizona and Stanford.

Battas expects Notre Dame to weigh in with an offer before the process ends.

"Matt's really a special player and a special kid. We're really fortunate to have him around here," Battas said. "When these coaches come through here, all they talk about is his size and speed and how they can't find anywhere.

"He's got the things you absolutely cannot teach."

We probably have less than a 5% chance of signing this kid, but you can always dream. Add to the fact we just added a bunch of WRs in this past class I just don't know. He did attend our junior day.
