We have been a tournament team the last two years. Any excuse...

It's still terrible ball to watch. Not just the Tigers but college basketball in general

It's not the poor caliber of play out has me turned off of college basketball: it's the disjointed mess of constant breaks and stoppages. There is zero flow to the game anymore - you have a mandatory TV timeout every 4 minutes and boatloads of fouls. Then each team gets 4 timeouts and 3 of which are generally saved for the final minute of a close game. As players foul out the coach has 1 minute to replace the player.

Video reviews take way too long to resolve and are yet another lengthy stoppage in the action. Why would the players need to be in great shape rather than han just good shape. They get to stand around more than run around.

It is rare to see an uniterrupted stretch of even 2 minutes of ball.

The final 30 seconds can literally take 10 minutes to 'play'.

The shot clock was great as it eliminated the mind numbing 4-corners.

I can see arguments both ways for the three point shot.

Overall college basketball to me is an unwatchable, disjointed mess.

so 30+ years later you have an issue

The NCAA basketball four-minute TV timeouts were implemented during the 1990-1991 season as a way to increase revenue for the NCAA and its television partners. These timeouts occur at the first dead ball under the 16-minute, 12-minute, 8-minute, and 4-minute media timeouts in each half of the game.
