Some of you guys are so ill informed. You must never have met Coach Izzo nor do you know much about him. His coaching tree (guys who worked for him that became head coaches) has at least 9 assistants amongst its branches: Stan Heath, Stan Joplin, Brian Gregory, Jim Boylan, Tom Crean, Doug Wojcik, Mike Garland, Mark Montgomery, Dwayne Stephens.

Also Huskie fans should be aware of his magnanimous nature: When NIU was struggling to raise funds for Cost of Attendence, Coach Izzo flew in at his own expense, gave to keynote address at the Fundraiser and waived his $50,000 speaking fee and proceeded to bid on and win a few of the auction items which he donated back to be auctioned again. This is a fine man you are denigrating with no real idea of who he is. He donated over $1,000,000 to the MSU hockey program and no doubt has made countless other significant donations to other charities.
