Perhaps nothing about Trump's political successes has ever surprised me more than the fact that his candidacy for the GOP nomination was not swiftly ended by his comments about Senator McCain. Whether you liked his politics or not, McCain was a bona fide war hero. Shows just how fast and hard the GOP has fallen from the party of Reagan over the past 25 years. The GOP that was enraged by Clinton's avoidance of service in the 1990s would never have nominated anyone who made similar comments about a war hero like Bob Dole, for instance.

If NW Ohio chooses JR Majewski over Rep. Marcy Kaptur then the Buckeye State is truly lost to MAGA. I think she'll be fine though, she's the longest currently serving woman in Congress and has never received less than 55% of the vote (that was back in 1984).

That's not settled, many feel quite differently about him, many of them with first hand knowledge of his "heroism". You know, he wasn't the only POW in Vietnam, just one who happened to have some rank, celebrity and name recognition. He was the textbook definition of a RINO to boot.
