RE: Has there been a decision on the shortened Transition?
I haven't seen any news about it. I have a feeling it's more of a formality than anything. Plus, it's in the best interest of the entire conference to have us as a full member sooner rather than later, so I believe the entire SB and commissioner Gill would back us up if needed.
It feels similar to when JMU made an appearance at the state to move up to FBS. I was very concerned about it and there really was no need to be as it was a unanimous support (and ODU was even by our side in support).
JMU hasn't made any mistakes when it comes to overplaying their cards. The reason I say that is JMU has been talking about a short transition. If they were unsure about it, I'm sure they would have been talking about a two year transition instead. That way if it wasn't granted, nobody would know otherwise.
I feel very confident that it has either already been approved or it's a non issue as they believe it will be approved.
