1)NIL must be independent of the school. No school, school employee or booster of school or their family can play any part in the NIL process. This includes bans on creating, soliciting, or acting as a clearing house for NILs.

2)NIL deals must be quid pro quo as athlete must provide an actual service to the provider of the NIL. Such as representing the NIL provider before the general public. ie: in commercial.

3) the player cannot appear in uniform, wear clothing with any representation of the school, or be of the school colors or make any mention of the school while representing the NIL deal.

This allows athlete to get NIL deal and have the deal 100% separate from the school, thus making it less likely to use NIL to steer athlete to specific school.

In those cases, the NIL player loses all value. The Alabama QB didn't make a 7 figure NIL deal because he was a fine upstanding gentleman. He made it because he was the Alabama QB. Disassociate the school from the player, and no one would be willing to pay.
