that we got some assurances from the OVC that they have a solid plan going forward. I have seen some rumors (unsubstantiated) that the OVC football schools would merge with the Southland football schools. If the OVC football schools become part of the Southland, but remain in the OVC for all other sports, that would be the ideal situation for us. At this point, I think there are still too many "moving parts" to predict what will happen next. That's why I'm surprised we moved so quickly, unless we know more than we are letting on.
