RE: ***Official Memphis vs Tulane Game Thread*** (11/27)
Well, it's been a damn tough year for MEMPHIS. I'm happy this team and these seniors got to 6 wins and will go bowling for the 8th consecutive year. Rumor is MEMPHIS will draw the Hawaii Bowl against a team from the MWC. We shall see.

How tough was it for MEMPHIS in 2021? This was a season:
  • The TIGERS played without a reliable kicker that cost us at least 2 games.
  • The TIGERS lost its starting quarterback before the season began.
  • The TIGERS lost 4 games to UTSA, Temple, ECU, and Tulsa by 13 total points.
  • The TIGERS had to play its 3rd team emergency QB at UCF.
  • The TIGERS had 48 players miss multiple games with injuries.
  • The TIGERS played 28 freshmen this season.

In our Cotton Bowl season, MEMPHIS got 98% of the breaks go their way. It was the opposite this season.

MEMPHIS will go to a bowl game for the 8th straight year. That's a better bowl streak than anyone in the current AAC. It's better than any G5 team and better than MOST P5 teams. In fact, only 11 P5 teams have been to more than 8 straight bowl games. We take pride in that and always have that as a team goal each year.

Hopefully next year will be better for MEMPHIS especially injury wise.
