Obviously, teams typically move conferences when they see it as a move up. However, in our case being non-football complicates the issue in all but the Summit Conference. The other conferences do have nonfootball members, but I think their first priority is adding football members to keep them viable as a football conference. But, I think the Ohio Valley and Southland certainly will see the benefit of adding any additional DI teams to increase their numbers and the ASun, while more secure, wouldn't mind having a buffer by adding more nonfootball members. Overall, I see the Atlantic Sun as being the most stable of these conferences, despite the fact that they have changed the membership, probably more than any conference, over the past 30 years or so.
With Liberty leaving, along with the possibility of CUSA adding FGCU as a travel partner for FIU, the footprint of the Atlantic Sun may be shrinking, which is a good thing for travel purposes.
