His attempts went way down once he got to UAB, which goes back to my point that we don’t do a good job of getting guys open.

I seem to recall him pulling up for three a ton in his highlights, but I can’t say I’m 100% correct in my memory these days. Last year was probably confusing for him with the position change and his role. This year he was clearly our sixth man, and I had high hopes with the players around him that he would start scoring like crazy. It hasn’t happened quite yet, but there is still time. He was the one guy who kept us in it somewhat in the first half by getting to the rim.

I don’t feel like we were scared. I don’t feel like it was lack of effort. I don’t feel like it was scheme or players. Sometimes the shots just don’t fall. We won the turnover battle. We got steals at our normal pace. We hung with them on the boards. This was the first road game these guys played together, and while it wasn’t Rupp arena, it wasn’t @FAU either. I’m disappointed we couldn’t pull it off, but I still have high hopes for this team, and one close game on the road won’t change my opinion.
