I think the day of reckoning is coming for most members of the MAC very soon. Seems to me they've propped up their football programs mostly with pre-conference buy games in the absence of fans in their stands and a TV deal that pays them a pittance.

I fear the G5 will soon be shrinking, and mostly not from migration to the P5. The haves and have nots in FBS football are continuing to be separated and college football for many schools is no longer sustainable.

I'm thankful UC is on the right side of that cut line after Big XII inclusion but it will require continued investment by our alumni and fans to sustain this high level program. It can now be said, we're in "the club" but I think we all want more than to be Washington State or Vandy from a competitive standpoint.
