RE: Resource: 5-1-6 Playoff using AP Poll from 2014-2020
AP poll is not what they will use, but CFP Committee rankings. They will put more scrutiny into rankings 10-20 because of the G5 access via top ranked school.

It's going to come under a lot of criticism when the top G5 school is ranked say #15 and the second one is ranked #16 or #17 and it's based on subjective criteria. The American will scream if Coastal Carolina eecks out Cincinnati by one spot. The MWC will scream like hell if UCF beats out Boise State by one spot. And all the time BYU and Liberty are locked out, have to meet Notre Dame's at large criteria, not the criteria of their non autonomous peers UCF, Cincy, Houston and Boise State. I see that as the next point of controversy and upset.
