Ouch. I don't remember that, although I'm not sure I knew it at the time. It does seem to tarnish the win a little. I believe a team is what their record says they are. Did they have the potential to be better? Sure, but other than against UVA they weren't. You can blame the coach and not the players if you want but I don't think it's that simple.

This is true in most cases. But in this one, you can put it on all on the coach.

He was coming to practice drunk. This wasn't great for the morale of the team and did little to help them prepare and became a major distraction. He offered zero direction and no gameplanning. And then it started to happen at games.

With the complete lack of coaching going on, they were essentially an AAU team that year playing against D1 competition. Not a great mix.

I think so and doubling our total wins in the next few games have he left shows that with a little direction they could have been much better. That wasn't a great team but not a 5 win team either.
