I think in addition to the money, the CAA truly believed FloSports was going to become a major player in the sports world.

At the time of signing FloSports had the rights to two MLS teams and was expected to be player in next years MLS primary TV rights deal. In addition to some legit Big 10 basketball content not on the Big 10 network, they had a new Concacaf soccer tournament and other noteworthy rights like select Big 12 conference championships. They were even getting their feet wet with the NBA trying to make a good impression by doing some world junior tournaments and snagged the Canadian rights for the Tour De France.

Sadly the CAA failed to realize that...quite frankly FloSports sucks. Venture capital money will only take you do far. The two MLS team they had, DC and Cincinnati, hated it and both dropped Flo after fan revolts. The hate and bad reputation was well known prior to CAA signing with Flo. Flo's chances at getting significant MLS content next year now seem highly unlikely. The Big 10 content they had last year seems to be MIA, and while they added Big East women's content, I don't see that being aong term deal...more like the Big East taking advantage of money being thrown at them for non primary content Fox hadn't purchased with their men's deal.

The benefit of games on local TV doesn't help us like it helps Northeastern and JMU at all since we don't want to work with our radio partner and the local independent TV station they own.

Hopefully the league has recognized this so that in two years we can make nice with ESPN.

Having said that I'll probably subscribe tomorrow night because I believe this team is worth following
