Yeah, a head scratcher.

Two possible good outcomes: a TD or a pass interfeence that gives you an untimed down.

Three neutral outcomes: an incompletion, you get tackled short of the goal line, or an interception you tackle short of the goalline with numbers downfield after time expires.

One negative outcome: An interception return for a TD. Where you still have a two score lead and get the ball first in the second half.

Sometimes evn the greatest coaches outthink themselves.

Risk v. Reward. Bama already spotted em one on the fumble. And two on the targeting.

Yeah, but if Ohio State makes some massive adjustments in the second half and go on to win by less than a TD.....

When you are playing for a championship you can't leave possible points on the board.
