The issue with Metz is that he is almost too tall...when your center of gravity gets too high, people can start really gaining leverage on bull rushes, and you get out of whack quite a bit when dealing with change of direction. I'm thinking that, along with just not being seasoned in the sport, is why he still has a tremendous problem dealing with inside out games and inside swims.

It's also the reason he has all the false starts. Especially when playing against the caliber of player on Georgia's D-Line he was likely trying to get a step on the end, because he was outclassed in that situation.

Always wondered if Metz would be better as a guard than as a tackle. Wouldn't have to get that quick start to block an outside rusher.

He’s too tall to play on the interior. QB couldn’t see over him.
