RE: Peach Bowl Pregame: Cincy vs. Georgia
While I wrote here in the Tulsa pre-game thread last week that I expected a "tense, intense, white knuckle viewing experience" on Saturday it was partly out of respect for their team but more my concern with UC's 28 day layoff, Covid 19 infections that shut down practice cycles for nearly two weeks, and the possibility of lousy weather. UC survived all three.

I expect a different Bearcat team to show up and compete on New Year's Day. And I agree, short of a victory, #8 vs. #9 should be a highly competitive game especially for those who argued UC deserved playoff spot #4.

As to some of Georgia's top players sitting this one out--fine with me. Of course we know they'll roll 4 star kids off the bench to replace them so it's still going to take UC's best performance of the year to upend these Bulldogs. NY6 is an outstanding achievement for any team. For UC, it's also a great measuring stick on how far the 'Cats have come since that disappointing shutout performance in Columbus last season.
