This may upset some folks but if he wins another national championship at Alabama this year he ties Bear Bryant in titles. He's got plenty of money, would make a great commentator if he wanted an active role and I think he could surprise a lot of people and retire after the next title. He had COVID this year so he's got to be thinking about what he would like to do in retirement.

If so Alabama will likely call Dabo. If he passes then maybe they look inside.

It wouldn't outright shock me if Saban retired soon. I'm not sure he would do it this year, but it's possible.

The issue with Saban is that he has dedicated his life to being a football coach. It's not just that he's good at it, he's excellent at it because he enjoys working like a madman. Of course, he can't do that forever, but what is a man like that going to do when there's no football to coach?

He would be good on TV, but he also craves competition.
