Sam made two FCS Championship games and SFA had success in basketball but they are never mentioned for Sun Belt or CUSA expansion. Teams with SLC experience will not want to be in a conference with their former conference mates.

With former conference mates gatekeeping here and across the street, the WAC is the only place to change things up.

New Mexico State is FBS and wants to stay that way. If they can convince these teams to throw money and develop a plan like TXST did, maybe they will find success.
