Not only is COVID still happening, it has increased its spread. It is not likely to abate very much for at least two to three months.

Just hope all the teams and fans won’t fly out to Vegas only to have the league call off the tournament at the end of the first day. That was some March madness in the worst possible way.

Last March, we had no "rapid" testing and no known therapeutics that could mitigates the virus' effects. Heck we didn't even know the full effect the virus had on our bodies back then; believing it was only a respiratory virus. The unknown shutdown last year's WAC and NCAA tournament. This season, I think people have reconciled that this virus will be among us through next year. And I guess sports is okay with it. We have rapid testing (sort of) and we have therapeutics (sort of). The problem is the spread is so severe now, it is overwhelming out medical system. People are now dying because there are not enough beds, nurses, and doctors to treat the infected. Games keep getting cancelled or postponed because of positive test results. I wonder if at some point college basketball shut it down (momentarily) and wait out the virus for a month or two?
